Things that "Bug" me!

The coming of warm afternoons brings "special" guests to my country home - Ladybugs. Grrrrr! They are everywhere, inside the house and out. I have been battling the spotted visitors for years. But my friend, Cindy, reminds me weekly to be positive. So there must be something positive I can say about Ladybugs.

This weeks' challenge is to identify some small irritant in our lives, something that we allow to make us crazy. Find three facts about it that can change our perspective. Lastly, find a new "hallelujah" Bible verse on which to focus when things irritate us. Here's mine:

Ladybugs: 1. In 1975, the Ladybug was designated as Ohio's state insect. (I laughed out loud when I read this! The reason is hilarious )  2. There are 5,000 species of ladybugs, about 450 species in the United States. (Just goes to show you God's boundless sense of humor.)  3. A ladybug can consume up to 60 aphids per day, and will also eat a variety of other harmful insects and larvae (My garden is thankful.)   So now, when I am tempted to be irritated at the ladybugs, I will repeat, out loud, what God says: "I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine." (Psalm 50:11). Be listening for me to repeat this often in the coming weeks.

My little irritation would be rain. Although I know it to be important it simply bothers me. Some rain facts are; (yes I copied and pasted...lol)
  • Rain occurs on other planets in our Solar System but it is different to the rain we experience here on Earth. For example, rain on Venus is made of sulfuric acid and due to the intense heat it evaporates before it even reaches the surface!

Rain drops do not fall in a tear drop shape, they originally fall in the shape of a flat oval

A single rainbow always shows red on the inside and purple on the outside. When there's double rainbow however, the second one always shows the purple on the inside and the red on the outside

Zechariah 10:1 MSG

Pray to God for rain—it’s time for the spring rain— to God , the rainmaker, Spring thunderstorm maker, maker of grain and barley.
