Praise Challenge
.
It is so easy to get caught up in the trials of the moment and forget God's blessings. When we are isolated, it is even easier to fall into that trap. Many of us are homebound due to illness, caregiving, job or other isolating circumstances. Let's get together and praise God by taking on specific challenges. Not only will we exercise our "Praise Muscle" but we'll be exercising our minds as  well.

I hear it over and over: "my mind is turning to mush"--because I only talk to my two-year-old all day, because I'm home alone and don't have anyone to talk to, because...  So let's do something about it.

Our brains have five functions:
  • memory
  • attention
  • language
  • visual-spatial skills
  • executive function
An article in Scientific American outlines five principles to maximize our brain power. We'll use these principles to decide what our challenges should be, being sure to include multiple brain functions.
  • Seek Novelty
  • Challenge Yourself
  • Think Creatively
  • Do Things The Hard Way
  • Network
